Hi Kelly, Hope you all had a Happy Thanksgiving! Wanted to let you know that we are in love with (Zac) Gunther, he's a doll. Him and Torie have hit it off and are playing together all of the time. She's very gentle with him. They are so cute together. He's adapted to his 3 meals a day quite well now, he's a little porker! How's Zoe? Is she missing Gunther? We named Zena Ursela! Of course, we know she is anything but evil! :) But the name just looks so good on that beauty! No one can keep their eyes off from her. She is going to look just like her daddy Dudley I think for sure! She is so pathetic when she looks forward! LOL! Hopefully I can get a pic or 2 to upload here; I'll give it a shot anyway! Worrying about the flight really was foolish......he never slowed down a bit and was yelping at midnight at the terminal and went right to sleep in his new bed at home and has loved it ever since. Loves being outside and already goes up the house steps anytime the door is opened for him. Goes to sleep in my wife's arms even when she is drying her hair. Hides under the bed whenever he steals a shoe. Really has personality. Keep you posted. Morning Kelly Just wanted to let you know that we got home last night about 10:30 Pm. Baby made the trip just fine. Now comes the fun stuff. Introducing her to the rest of the gang. Let her and Jazzy get to know each other and the hit it off just fine. Took about 2 seconds of sniffing and the wrestling match was on. They are getting along great.
Thank you so much for spending so much time with us on Sat. Deb and I wanted to take them all home. You have some very special Bassets. Talk to you soon

Hey Kelly, Have been meaning to e-mail you since we arrived home with Violet... Violet is doing great! She is the funniest, cutest, sweetest little girl...she makes us laugh all the time! We love her to pieces and so does everyone who meets her. The vet, vet techs, neighbors, family...everyone thinks she is so adorable. She’s eating well and we play with her every day...She’s also very smart....She mostly lets us know when she needs to go out. Still working on sleeping through the night...She’s waking up later and later every morning....Today it was 5 a.m. Instead of 4 a.m.
She’ll sit on her haunches and wave her paw at you. She loves taking a nap on her big downstairs dog bed or on the sofa with one of us, OR under our glass top coffee table. She loves chasing a ball in the yard or just lying in the grass in the sun. She is a mess and a half but cute as can be!
She is a sweetheart and we are so happy she is part of our family.

I'm really excited for our kids to get home tomorrow and meet him. They will be so surprised.
Everything went well at the vet today. She said he was very healthy, weight 10-10.
Thanks again for allowing us to have one of your pups. You can be assured he will have a wonderful home with lots of love.
Doug & Ginger (Daisy Mae/Ben 2009) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Hi Kelly! I hope you're doing well! Tiger is HUGE! Pictures don't do justice on how long and big his ears and paws are getting! He definitely has a lot of personality.
He LOVES people and attention as he knows how to get it by laying on his back waiting for a belly rub!
Health-wise, he's about 22 lbs at 17 weeks. I know he was the smallest out of the litter, but what is the average basset at that age

She is doing great! Just like having a new baby in the house. She has gotten on a schedule of eating twice a day, and a couple of naps a day. She likes her crate. Loves her food. And getting along well with Chloe, our Great Dane (included a picture of her). She and one of our two cats, Bello, are getting acquainted. And she has been a hit with all of our daughters friends. Grandparents are certainly getting a lot of babysitting time, which is just fine with us!

Dear Kelly, Just a note to tell you how Dawson is doing. When we took him to the vet last Friday he weighed 7.5 lbs. He is a little PIG. He now weighs 10 lbs. He is growing like a weed. I can't believe the difference in one week. He loves to play and carries his toys everywhere. He also loves Jasper & Daisy. He is very energetic & very smart. He also loves the smell of coffee. He tries to get into John's cup every time he drinks it.
I am ready to register him and was wondering what name to register him under. Did you have a special name he was to be registered with? is there any special rules about picking a name (according to pedigree, etc.)?
We are very happy with him.

The family is so in love with Miss Trina, she is getting too spoiled! She's adapted well to her crate, and sleeps thru the night with not accidents, or crying. Her appetite is good, and she loves playing with all her new balls and squeaky toys. I will send you some pics soon. Oh, could you please e-mail or fax me another copy of her medical records of shots and worming, One of us has misplaced her folder, and I don't want to miss anything while I'm locating it in this house somewhere. Is she too young for flea protection? I'll ask her vet, but you may know as well. Hope to hear from you soon.
